If you thought that you have depression because you have chemical problems, and the only way out it to take anti-depressant drugs, you are not alone. In his book lost connections, Johann Hari, researched the research about anti depressant drugs, and discovered that despite the fact that they have a very real set of unpleasant side effects, they are only marginally more effective at warding off depression then a good nights sleep. So much for chemicals. There is another way.

In the last 12 years or so, I have been working extensively in teaching people how to love themselves. Self-love, self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-worth.
Many of those people have come to me deeply depressed, not able to cope with their lives, and desperate for a solution. Several have been suicidal. All of them have been taking anti-depressants, and still feeling depressed.

In our work together, I have noticed something wonderful happen. Somewhere in the process of our self-love program their depression goes, and these previously depressed people discovered a capacity for happiness, joy, peace and presence like they have never known before. They get off the drugs, and never look back.

I am not a psychiatrist or a psychologist, I don’t deal in drugs, instead I have another kind of expert knowledge that has proved to be extraordinary useful for my clients.  When I share this knowledge, and work with my clients transforming their experience of themselves and the world they live in, their depression simply falls away, and they begin to love life, along with themselves.

Why? Well, our journey starts with the understanding of how thought creates your experience. It is a learning called the 3 principles, and it is the most powerful thing I can teach any of my clients, no matter what they come to me for, this is always our starting point.
You see, when you start to understand how your mind creates your felt (emotional-chemical) experience of life, something fundamental shifts in the way you see and begin to experience yourself, and the world. Getting a bead on how the mind creates your experience, means you change the way you work with it, and that changes everything in the simplest most extraordinary way.

We do have 2 float tanks right here at Cloud 9, and find that they are an extremely effective addition to any therapy involving anxiety and depression.
